Dog breeds that live the longest is a great companion

The breed of dog that lives the longest

We always think that our pets will live for a long time. Well, I have found that ten dogs breeds live0 the longest. This is very interesting because not all dog breeds that live that long.

You have to account the health of the dog and if they have an illness. If a dog has a disease that will shorten the dog life. When you get a puppy or dog have it check out and make sure you get all the vaccines that it needs. You can prevent something, but you can avoid all things.

Always make sure that you get a regular check-up for your puppy or dog. Always ask questions about your pet, so you know what is going on.

Here is the list of the ten dog breeds that live the longest.

Australian Shepherd-15 years, Beagle-15 years, Maltese-15 years, Shih Tzu-15 years, Lhasa Apso-15 years, Cockapoo-16 years, (Cocker Spaniel / Poodle, Toy Poodle-16 years, Jack Russell Terrier-16 years, Chihuahua-17 years, New Guinea Singing Dog-18 years.

All these dog breeds live the longest providing that they are in good health of course. These are the best breeds also to have in an apartment because they are either small to medium size dogs. They are easy to take care as well.

They are not a destructive dog either. You still should have toys, bones, and treats for them of course. They will be great company for anyone that is lonely or need of a companion.

These breed of dogs live longer and that is a great thing because that makes them a great companion for a child, a younger adult that lives in an apartment, and an older adult looking for some companionship.

These dogs are great companions to anyone who loves small to medium dogs. They are great for apartments because of there size makes it easy to take care of them.

These ages that I have found is the right age but things happen and you will eventually have to face the possibility that the dog’s health is failing and you may have to have your best friend euthanized and that is not an easy thing to have to do but that is worst-case scenario though.

These can possibly outlive these ages. As I said before they won’t live forever. If you are considering getting another pet please don’t let them paid the awful price of comparing them with your best friend.

You don’t have to go right out and get another pet take the time of getting over your lost first and then if you still want another dog, by all means, get you another furry child.

It will help you cope better with the loss of your best friend alot. There are just too many unwanted pets and that isn’t right they all deserve a good an loving home. Having another pet will make you feel better and please don’t go into a depression over this.

These breeds can live a great life as long as they are well taken care of and that they don’t have any health issues. They can outlive other breeds of dogs. I don’t know why these particular dogs live as long as they do. These dogs will take care of you in ways that you won’t know that you are taking care of.

Dogs are such a great pet to have because first off they are so cute to have and they don’t mind being taken care of. They will be with you for all of their lives they are your partner in crime you do everything together and that is a great thing.

When you lose your best friend

I don’t like to bring this up but this has to be brought up. It is not a pleasant subject but your furry children won’t be around forever these breeds will live to be a certain age. That is why you always get another furry child to be your companion so you are not lonely.

People who love their dogs want the to live forever but they don’t and if you ever have lost a pet dog you know it is hard but if you adopt another pet right away you are not forgetting your best friend or even replacing them you are just giving another dog loving home.

Just think about the dogs that are in need of a loving home you can do that. It somewhat eases the pain of losing your best friend and you won’t be alone because you would have another companion with you.

It kind of makes it easy for you to get over the passing but you will never forget. You will always have enough love to pass on to another dog.

As I have said before you don’t want your furry child to suffer and you can be with them to the end. They will be scared but you have to comfort them and be there for them like they were there for you.

Please don’t ever leave your pet alone because you don’t want them to think that you didn’t love them.  They are scared and they don’t know what is happening to them. You be with them and comfort them so they can go peacefully.

When you get a new best friend

You love them so much you don’t want them to suffer so let them go because they were a great companion to you. When you are ready to adopt another pet you are giving them a second chance to a forever home and that is what counts.

That is the best way to help you through the grieving period is to get another pet when you are ready they will make you happy once again. You are no replacing your best friend you are just getting another best friend to keep you happy and you will have another companion to keep you company.

Remember to adopt from your local shelter. They need love and home too.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions or comments feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

    Hi Mary,

I grew up with Siberian Huskies and other husky mix breed sled dogs. Many of them lived to be 16, 17 or 18. I think the age a dog lives can be higher now just like the ages cats live is much higher than a few decades ago. Of course this requires very good care and is still breed dependent to a great degree. I hope people take on the challenge to give their dogs a great, long life!

It is interesting that our dogs were all large dogs that lived so long, though as you point out most long lived breeds are smaller.

Most of the long-lived dogs are the smaller breeds when I did the research they really didn’t mention the larger breeds. I am so glad to hear your dogs lived that long that is great and like you have pointed out it takes people to take great care of their dogs too. Not too many of larger dogs lived that long but again it depends on how they have been taken care of. That is the key is taking care of your dog. I look at this way you take care of your furry children and they will take care of you. Huskies are solid dogs they don’t have an ounce of fat on them because they drive the sled and that is great news. I have always wanted a Huskie myself but they don’t do so well in the warm weather though. That is my understanding I could be wrong though. I have mostly had German shepherds and poodles all my life and they did fine they lived quite a long life. I wanted to thank you for commenting on this article I hope that you enjoyed it and that you will come back and comment again. Please stop by again I will have some new articles coming out soon. I will keep you posted on that. Thank you once again for stopping by.
