15 Dog breeds that love to sleep all the time

There are 15 dog breeds that love to sleep because that is what they love to do. No one can explain why but they enjoy sleeping. If you spend a lazy Saturday in bed you will have company with you.

Here is the list of dog breeds that love to sleep.

Bulldog, Shih Tzu, Mastiff, Basset Hound, French Bulldog, Pekingese, Greyhound, Lhasa Apso, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Saint Bernard, Chow Chow, Great Dane, Cocker Spaniel, Pug, Great Pyrenees.

They love to curl up in your lap or on your bed. They enjoy sleeping but they all need to exercise as well. You will recognize some of these breeds as large, medium, and small.

Now you can have them sleep with you or you can get them a bed of their own. That is up to you of course however you want to do it. I would recommend that you have a dog bed available for your furry child(ren) because they want you always there.

When you are not there it would help that they have a dog bed with a stuffed animal for comfort. They will have some comfort while you are gone to work. This way they won’t be lonely.

Leaving them home alone

They are like a little baby and need that comfort from you. Since you can’t always be there with them that is why I suggested the stuffed animal. I feel when you have a puppy that is the best way to go.

Now with a puppy, you may want to crate them till you get home so that you can lay liners down in the crate so if they have to go to the bathroom it will all be done in the crate and you won’t find accidents all through your house or apartments.

This would be easier on you that you can train your puppy or dog to go in the crate so that it won’t be a mess for you and that they won’t have to wait to get home from work.

Or you could hire a dog walker but I don’t think you want a stranger in your house or with your puppy or dog unless you trust this person. You also have to look at your budget as well.

I am trying to make this as easy as possible but it is up to you as to how you want to handle this issue. You shouldn’t have too much trouble since they sleep all the time but when they get up they have to go to the bathroom and want to eat as well.

Providing food and water for your puppy or dog

As far as eating that is easy because with a puppy or dog you can put them on a feeding schedule so they don’t need to eat when you are gone. There are ways you can do this.

You can get a self-feeder where you get this feeder and fill it up with food and then when they eat more food drops down. Or just put them on a feeding schedule where you only feed them twice a day once in the morning and once in the evening.

There are many different ways you can do this again this is up to you on how you want to do this. You have to have water down for them at all times so they can drink whenever they need to. There again you can get a self-feeder or just have a bowl down for them.

Even when you are not home you still have to provide for your furry child(ren). Before you even get a pet learn about your new furry child(ren) so you know what to do and make the right decisions.

Remember to adopt from your local shelter. They need love and home too.
